Dichroic Glass (DIE-CROW-ICK) was developed for the aerospace industry (the re-entry tiles on the space shuttle have dichroic coatings). The most intriguing characteristic of dichroic glass is that it reflects one color but transmits another and a third color is usually visible when viewed at an angle.
